CD ReviewsHighly underappreciated band J. Gitzlaff | Chicago, IL United States | 04/04/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "Moon Seven Times (M7x) was a marvellously talented though surprisingly unappreciated regional US band that fell somewhere in the neutral zone between the singer-songwriter/goth/pop genres. If you are a fan of bands like the Cocteau Twins, Bel Canto, Dead Can Dance, and This Mortal Coil, please do your best to acquire copies of M7x's albums 'Sunburnt' and '7=49'.M7x appears to be on indefinite hiatus. This is unfortunate on many levels, though I am glad to have seen them perform during my college days in front of 150 people at the 'Blind Pig' in their hometown of Champaign, Illinois. A charming group with a great sound." Atmospheric music for your ordinary mind rocketmorton | 04/11/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is the first album by a band from the Champaign-Urbana area that, alas, appears to be no longer active. Henry Frayne builds sonic environments with guitar, supporting Lynn Canfield's lyrics which somehow manage to be both disturbing and mundane. (Not to mention the fine drum and bass work of Brendan Gamble and Don Gerard, respectively.) I had the good fortune to catch them at, of all places, a Borders book store. In the words of Joe Bob Briggs, check it out."
