CD ReviewsSweet, heartfelt music for quiet reflection Brianna Neal | USA | 11/30/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "Wistful and mellow compositions for harp, recorders, other stringed instruments, and gentle percussion. Lisa Lynne Franco, aka Lisa Lynne, has only released one album of solo harp playing that I know of, "Quiet Heart"; the rest are duo or ensemble recordings, and the reason is obvious: she really knows how to complement and compose for a group. Her chords, glissandos, and simple melodies provide the perfect ground for other instrumentalists to layer upon in harmony and descant, and her playing is so heartfelt and inviting that it just draws everyone else in. The resulting performances are simply lovely, time after time. Track #8 on this CD, "Pavane", was arranged by fellow harpist and composer Kim Robertson, and if you enjoy Lisa's work, you'll also like Kim's. Both have many releases to their name from which to choose. In tracking Lisa's discography, keep in mind that after the release of "Moonsongs", she dropped the "Franco" portion of her moniker and changed her performing name simply to Lisa Lynne (perhaps to avoid confusion with German harpist Lisa Franco). Prior to "Moonsongs", Lynne also recorded several releases as part of the duo "Celestial Winds"." Beautiful, relaxing music! Mary Jane Moss | Duluth, GA USA | 10/21/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "I first heard Lisa Lynne this fall at the Yellow Daisy Festival. I listened to her music long before I walked to where she was playing. This was the first CD I bought and have since bought 2 more. This music will make you relax, feel good and just put you in a good mood! I compare her to Hilary Stagg (Dream Spiral, Feather Light) who died several years ago. There is not a song on it I do not like and would be hard pressed to name my favorite. Every song is a favorite. A purchase you will not regret!"
