"I saw Moris open up for Frank Black in SF and was somewhat shocked by the immediacy and raw sound he and his band put out. It was like Sonic Youth from back in the day. Amazing surprise... I got the album soon after, and it's never left my cd player. It's best with a bottle of something because the level of derange progresses with the cuts. Once past Woodbine, you're well into pure genius. It's by far one of the most original, brilliant albums released in the past 5 years. This guy is a true original and a master songwriter with a great temperment for the bizarre. "Blue Face Man" is one of the most wonderfully deranged songs I've ever heard. "When the Rain Stops" is completely degenerate and fantastic at once. He's brilliant..."

"Moris Tepper's CD Moth to Mouth shows that in this day of churned out soundtrash there's someone out there who dares to be original. This is creativity cranked up to level 10. If you like the work of Frank Zappa, Tom Waits, Frank Black or anyone else who is a brilliant musician not afraid to stay out of the mainstream and swim strongly against the current, then you've got to get this CD. There are great riffs, fun songs, sad songs, crazy songs and a genius that shines through on every one of them. If you are a guitarist, or you like guitars, then this is an essential CD for your collection."
