""Christmas With the Mormon Tabernacle Choir" runs the spectrum from "The Twelve Days of Christmas" to the "Hallelujah Chorus" (please note that the latter is done with a symphony orchestra; I mention this only because the MTC sometimes does this with just a massive pipe organ for accompaniment and I just wanted to make sure everybody knows this is not that one). My preference runs towards the older material on this particular collection of Christmas songs, such as "Good King Wenceslas" and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," which is great because that is the direction in which the collection leans. Plus, I never get tired of hearing the "Carol of the Bells." It is not Christmas at my house until the tree is up and the sounds of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir echoes through the entire structure. When I listen to albums like this one it is when I most remember that Christmas is supposed to be a religious holiday."
