Product DescriptionGreat solo effort from Moses Davis, best known for his earlier work in The Counts, but still sounding pretty darn hip here with a new combo of his own. The feel here is kind of an extension of the later Counts work on Aware Records, funky at the core, but with some smoother touches too, definitely a hint of Atlanta-styled sounds of the mid 70s, particularly some of the best clubby elements of that scene. Rhythms have a great choppy feel on the best numbers, almost an early Bohannon vein, but a bit more complex and the album balances out groovers with some mellower numbers too with great keyboards (organ, Fender Rhodes, and clavinet) from Robert Lowe Jr. CD features 2 bonus tracks - Love To Live (12-inch extended mix) and Something About You (12-inch extended mix).
