"Mother Mother's sophomore effort is the finest installment in the indie-rock canon since Yoshimi battled the pink robots. O My Heart glistens with meticulous production, thrills you with its unbelieveable attention to harmonic detail, and punishes you for thinking it was going to go in any direction other than where it chooses. Mother Mother jumps styles like it is their job, keeping the listener on his toes while never alientating him. "Bodies" and "Ghosting" are phenominal album tracks, while the title track is an appropriate lead single. The real gems, however, come in the album's most anachronistic tracks: "Hayloft" a churning, skeletal crunch pop tune that reminds you the blood still flows, and "Arms Tonight" a sickly sweet pop tune that ruminates on death as it takes you back to romantic high school summers. More than arguably the finest offering of any musical act of 2008, popular or independent."
