Synopsis

Album Description

This performance is drawn from a concert performed at the Olympic Stadium in Los Angeles in early March 1970. The concert which also included Frank Zappa and Johnny Winter on the bill took place just after the release of the album Mountain Climbing and contains songs such as Mississippi Queen, Never In My Life and For Yasgur's Farm, which featured on the album. The performance also includes Long Red, Blood Of The Sun and Dreams Of Milk And Honey that were stand out tracks from Leslie West's Mountain album from 1969. 2006.

"Great selection, only bothersome thing (and this appears in others of this series) is that the speed is off, and usually fast. Hopefully on subsequent releases they will take more care in production. Mountain was one of the finest bands of the early 1970's. Leslie West's tone was ( and still is) to die for!"
