CD Reviews

TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT
Michael Courtney | San Antonio, Texas United States | 02/11/2002
(4 out of 5 stars)

"This is the second valiant effort from Canada's Moxy. Unlike their first release this disc contains much more straight forward rock without the nice ballads. My favorite Moxy song ever is here, "Take It or leave It", which was also released as a single. It, like Moxy, didn't fair well commercially. That success is important for a band to make it, but for those fortunate enough to see a band and get their music, it is hard to understand that lack of success. It is unfortunate, but most stations have program directors that wouldn't know good music if it came with a warning label stating it was!Moxy released some great music in their short lifespan and it is good to see it out on CD. If you have never heard Moxy try them. They have great guitar work, screeching vocals, and an excellent sound that has survived the 70's. Some other great tunes on the disc include "Through the Storm", "Wet Suit", and "Change in My Life". Don't let the opportunity to grab a cult classic pass you by; show the world you've got Moxy!"
Good 1970's style Rock-N-Roll/Hard Rock

"This band hails from Canada and their whereabouts are now unknown. I heard their material for the first time over the radio in 1975. The band was very talented in that they performed ballads, hard rock, and disco/hard rock mixes."
