REFRESHING interpretation

"These are truly first rate performances from a first rate violinist. Fischer's subtle vibrato and bowing on the wonderful Guadagnini instrument gives this interpretation a refreshingly sweet and light sound which is ideal for Mozart. She plays with perfect tonality and complete technical command. The orchestral accompaniment is outstanding. I also have Szeryng, Kremer, Grumaiux, Perlman, and Mutter's cycles. Out of these, Fischer's is the most REFRESHING and SATISFYING.
Get BOTH CD's! You will not regret it. If you have to purchase only one, the other CD (the G major #3 and D major #4 concertos) edge out this one."
Recorded in an echo chamber

"This is classic example of great performances ruined by technical aspects of the recording. The performances, what I heard, are excellent. But the recording venue is so acoustically bright and hence the reverberation so bad, that the end result is muddy and smeared, with Fischer's violin struggling to be heard above the din. At this point I haven't been able to listen to the whole thing. Performance: five stars. Recording: 0 stars. Very disappointing."
