Mr. Capone-E delivers beautifully on this album, though with minor problems at times. His rapping style isn't rhythmically the best, but good enough. His music producer, Fingazz, is definitely the backbone of this record; his beats are a truly a gem here, with that famous West Coast flavor we all have come to love so much. Nobody does it better here, folks.
Although the entire album is unbelievably good from track 1 to the end, go ahead and hit the "repeat" on these ones:
Track 4, "I Like It" feat. Nate Dogg
Track 7, "Modern Day Gangster" feat. Kokane (aka Mr. Kane)
Track 8, "Say Hello" feat. Mr. Criminal, Silent & Scrappy Loco
Track 9, "LA County Most Wanted," feat. Mr. Criminal, Silent & Lil' Cuete
Track 13, "VIP"
There's been a lot of speculation that Mr. Capone-E isn't exactly Mexican, which leads me to ask the question: What is Mexican? Although born Pakistani by ethnicity (according to his Wikipedia entry), he was raised in a crime-infested, poverty-stricken ghetto (along side Mexicans). He grew up gangbanging with the bad element we call "homies." His speech pattern and accent is that of a Bato Cholo (Latin gang banger). He looks and acts the part. He's been Mexicanized, so to speak (if such a word exists).
Bottom line--if you're looking for great Latino/Chicano rap to listen to while you're in your automobile or just having a ghetto-fabulous party, you can definitely find it in Mr. Capone-E's "Always and Forever" album. Expect nothing less from producer Fingazz.
Other records worth checking out if you like this one: "A Soldier's Story" by Mr. Capone-E; and "Ryder Muzic" by Mr. Criminal. Again, Nate Dogg is featured in both of these albums--and we all know that whatever this man spits on turns into gold!
