A groovy slice of MTX history

"This "special addition" reissue of 1995's fab "Women Who Love Them" EP catches the band at a pivotal point, when songwriter Dr. Frank was really just about to throw in the towel on the whole rock star thing. His friends convinced him to make at least one more single to document the work he had on hand, and in the process he rebuilt the band and recorded one helluva great record. This reissue includes the original EP and the next one one (the arch "Alternative Is Here To Stay") as well as outtakes, B-sides, previously scattered compilation tracks (such as his duet with Kim Shattuck of the Muff's on "Don't Go Breakin My Heart") and some cool acoustic demos he had laying around. It's really fun, and really clever - some of the best work by one of rock's best lyricists."
Very Good Album

"Buy this album, it is well worth the money. The songs are catchy, fun, whitty, and upbeat. Its kinda punk, but I really wouldn't describe it as a punk album, especially with a large number of solo tracks. For 20-some odd tracks at [the price] this album is a steal. I have been humming "Since you been gone" in my head all afternoon. "Unpack your Adjectives,""How'd the date end?" and "Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah" are also among some of the other great tracks on this album. I don't know much about Mr. T experience, but I know this is a great CD!"
A great little album to a great large album

"Often credited with creating the East Bay pop-punk sound that made Green Day famous, The Mr. T Experience have always recorded excellent music, but And the Woman Who Love Them marked a new peak for the band. The album boasts more of a straight foward rock sound than other MTX releases, but the real delight comes in the song writing. Dr. Frank drops more universal, witty lyrics and metaphors than ever before. As if the album weren't good enough, MTX shows love for the fans by including many, many, many b-sides, rarities and unreleased tracks from the period, some of which mark Dr. Franks early (and successful) experiments with accoustic tracks (which Green Day again later found success with... these guys are trend setters, pay attention to them). Also included is the stellar (and pop based) Alternative Is Here to Stay album, which includes perhaps Frank's best song, You Today. Accoustic, simple, sincere and witty as hell, on this track Frank sings about the heartache and indecision accompaning a break-up. It'll make you smile, it'll make you go "Right on." Do check it out."
