"I have owned the LP of this since it came out decades ago and am thrilled to find it in CD form. Yes, it may be marketed as relaxation music, but it is some of the most beautifully performed Gregorian Chant that I know; listeners need to jump over the PR spin to get to the original intent, which was described on the LP as: "Gregorian Chant: Hymns, Sequences, Responsories, ca. 400-1400". By the way, if you have ever seen the PBS/BBC series "Civilisation" by Kenneth Clark from the 1970s, these are the performances he uses in his segments on the Middle Ages. So, forget the "new age" packaging--this is serious music."
Excellent!

"This is a wonderful cd at an excellent price! My favorite chant cd! Warning, if you buy this cd you'll be on a constant quest to find others just as good, which is very difficult. A definite must-buy, very peaceful and melodic."
