If you are not a fan of bluegrass/folk, do not be put off. Mumford & Sons is a band that nearly everyone can agree is just plain GOOD, and defies categorization. 1. Buy this. 2. Buy copies for everyone you love. 3. See them live in concert, as I did this week, by any means necessary (short of theft or murder of course). I was reminded of the times I was lucky enough to see Led Zeppelin and Elton John on their very first U.S. tours. Yes, they are that good! And yes, I am that old. 4. Buy extra copies, just in case, for people you will love in the future. And no, I'm not related to this band, except in spirit. Cheers!" |
