CD ReviewsOverwhelmingly, Extremely, Ridiculously, Totally, Completely BUFF | Sebastian, FL | 10/04/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "I really, very, & also truly LOVE Mushroomhead's music, all of it, every CD/Album & also every "Song". I like, love, & care about this whole Album. I am passionately, enthusiasticly, deeply, emotionally, absorbingly, overwhelmingly, seriously, & ludicrously into this CD/Album, so much. I love Mushroomhead a lot!!! I have heard, listen to, & tried out, so many many many & just a lot a lot a lot of bands, but Mushroomhead is basically, totally, & honestly the only real unique, diverse, new, fresh, original, & sounds like "nothing" you've ever heard before in your entire life, band! This band is destructionly, disintegratingly, & beautifully evil, sinister, gothic, horrorish, satanic, demonic, vile, creepy(in a good way), disturbing(in a good way), chaotic, very really extremely ferocious & vicious, very very fierce, sinisterly, differently, powerfully & intensely dark or darkness, emotional, wicked, sinful, diabolical, & foreboding. Also, they're threatening, menacing, ominous, grim, & grisly. Also, vilely & strongly atmospheric, really sharply & nicely beautiful, and diversely, crushingly, & fiercely aggressive & abrasive, astonishingly, wonderfully, destructively, & violently brutal & raw, very powerful, very forceful, very & dynamically hard-hitting, extremely & literally compelling, very very very loud(in a good way), mesmerisingly, captivatingly, & unbelievably interesting, wholly & uniquely dynamic, genuinely & beautifully melodic, extraordinarily & fantastically corrosive & mentally ill(in a good way), & really really very very immensely thick & thick sounding. So, deep, complex, pure, unpredictable, memorable, unforgettable, savage, calming, fully & eternally serious(in a good way), happy sounding to me(in a diverse & good way, like a real & pure positive attitude & energy). Also, shatteringly, massively, & totally intense, completely energetic, overwhelming, surrounding you w/their music, all their music, CDs/or Albums, all their songs, & all their "sounds" from all the band members, & all their songs on this Album is enormous, gigantic, monstrous, huge, unique, & immense sounding. Also, profoundly & deeply violent/negative/or hostile sounding(but, in a different & great way though, not like a negative person, like say.....someone who's rude, crude, arrogant, mean, nasty, like someone, who's "negative" all the time or once in awhile or whatever, disrespectful, etc, you get the idea). Anyway, extremely peaceful sounding, savagely hellish, devastatingly & evilly nightmarish(like, Silent Hill, Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, & Silent Hill 4: The Room all smashed, bashed, & crushed together in 1 massive, gigantic, & immense ball). Also, excruciatingly rough & harsh sounding(in a good way), crazy sounding(in a good way), so frantic & insane(in a good way), ridiculously & overpoweringly dramatic, uncontrollable, a lot of madness, hugely, ferociously, & obliteratingly heavy, the way how they write "all" their music & all their songs is, highly intelligent & highly intelligent sounding, very very very creative, purely mature, & exceedingly solid. Just brilliant, incredible, amazing, extraordinary, unbelievable, phenomenal, excellent, gorgeous, innovative, inventive, freaky(in a good way), just so strongly evocative or evoking every emotion w/in you, w/every song they do(just, all of their music, really). Also, very & smartly talented, vividly, beautifully, & terrificly imaginative, grandly piercing, pounding you all over, slamming, destroying, smothering, & disintegrating you how "The Incredible Hulk" would. They sound like, what it would sound like if the whole world got destroyed, crushed, & demolished. Also, momentumic sounding, & momentumic in every possible thing they do on this Album(all the band members), consistent all the time, rapidly & patiencely seamless, no matter what speed their all playing at, there's just so much, so much, so much patience w/in the band as a whole. A lot a lot a lot of many, different, personal emotions w/every single song, & so many diverse emotions in just one 'Song'. Also, all their lyrics & all 3 Vocalists "Jeffrey Nothing", "J Mann", & "Waylon" & also "Gravy"(Guitars), "Bronson"(Guitars, Dancing, Turntables, & Samples, the other Guitarists too), "Skinny"(Drums & Percussion), "Pig Benis"(Bass, the other Bassist as well), "Shmotz"(Keyboards), & finally "ST1TCH"(Turntables, Electronics, Samples, & Water Drums) are monstrously, obliteratingly, tremendously, behemothly, & gorgeously unique, incredible, powerful, disintegrating, emotional, pure, savage, rough, aggressive, melodic, ravage, beautiful, suffocating, original, ferocious, mature, talented, professional, diverse, evil, dark, creepy, surreal, & sensational. Their my favorite permanent "Band", I have ever heard in my existents!!!
Everything about this band is just extremely unbelievable, disintegratingly beautiful, & humungously destruction. Alright, now my opinion on all the songs: I: Before I Die: 10 II: Bwomp: 10 III: Solitaire-Unraveling: 10 IV: These Filthy Hands: 10 V: Never Let It Go: 10 VI: Xeroxed: 10 VII: The Wrist: 10 VIII: Chancre Sore: 10 IX: The New Cult King: 10 X: Empty Spaces: 10 XI: Born of Desire: 10 XII: 43: 10 XIII: Fear Held Dear: 10 XIV: Too Much Nothing: 10 XV: Episode 29: 10 Tracks "16" to "42" are all silent, empty, & there's nothing there. Then, "Track 43"(the hidden & kind of, kind of last track): Bwomp Part 2(Extended Version): 10(I call it that. :) Its extended & longer. Specifically & truly, the ending part of it) My Overall opinion about "Mushroomhead" & this Album "XX" & also their other Albums: "Mushroomhead"(Self-Titled), "Superbuick", "M3", "XIII" & "Savior Sorrow", would be 100%, 10/10, zillion stars out of 5 stars. Everybody has their own opinion, taste, everyone likes different things, people love, like, dislike, & hate things, not everyone likes the same thing & theirs nothing wrong w/that. Most people think some things are alright, o.k., or whatever. Others, just don't care about certain kinds of things, It could be anything! :) I personally, passionately, & enthusiasticly LOVE MUSHROOMHEAD. :)" |
