"First of all, my husband and I are longtime goth/industrial fans, and we both love this album. It's campy, it's loungy, it's fun, it's dancey, and it's great cooking music (and roadtrip music!).



From the opening of "Hit and Run Holiday", I knew I was going to love this album. I was right. It's a bit more sophisticated than the B-52's, and much better to dance to. I'll admit, my musical taste is a bit wacky, and I can get down to both Wumpscut and Frank Sinatra.



Most of our more serious friends in the scene regard this album is sacriledge. We humbly disagree. If you have a sense of humor and like kitschy music, you'll love it. Hopefully."

"Yeah this albums got "Street Beat"! My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult is a cool band but this is a redefining piece from start to end: this album really rocks. Its got the cool 50's-60's lounge sound with tons of horns. But this album is pumped with energy and from the first track this album is a fun trip. TKK is a wild band that normall appeals to the Goth/Industrial scene but this album has more widespread appeal with an accessible sound and not such a heavy sound as much of the bands other work this is one album that you can throw into a party mix and let go...



Starting off with a sample the first and title track starts of a little cool but gives a prelude to the fun that the album provides. As it reaches its roaring climax you can help but smile. And this album takes off from there rolling right into "Glamour is a Rocky Road" a song that is full-on glam: totally deliberate, extroverted and full throttle fun. From here were presented with "Apollo 69" which is as the title suggests totally over the moon and "Portrait of the Damned" which is cool and probably the most subdued song on the work.



I could go through each song track by track but I am not going to. Get this one, it is FUN. It makes great driving music that you will force you to sing tap your steering wheel and probably break speed limits. This also makes good party music. If you are a fan of TKK and you dont have it well... GET IT. If not and if even if you hate the industrial scene this is still a very fun album that is a total departure from TKK's normal sound. I think you'll agree after a listen or too that this really is a fun album.
