The several choirs of the Cathedral of St. John (Episcopal) in Albuquerque, New Mexico, sing a program of traditional and recently composed choral music for the Christmas season and also for the Advent and Epiphany seasons that precede and follow Christmas in the calendars of liturgical churches. Three works are for pipe organ alone, and many of the choral works are accompanied by the cathedral's large pipe organ built in 2000 by the Reuter Organ Company of Lawrence, Kansas. Six works on the CD are the first recordings of the pieces.
