Najwa Karam is a Lebanese singer, and she has an absolutely amazing voice. I would compare her voice favorably to that of Patty LuPone, it is that rich and deep. The song Ashika is probably the best, and was a huge hit throughout the Arab world, but all the songs on this CD are good. Najwa is often accused of being too traditional, but I think her albums have a nice blend of traditional and modern sounds. This is one of the best CDs from one of the world's greatest female singers, and I highly recommend it."
