"My husband and I produced Nancy's first CD 10 years ago, not because we were in the music business, but because we felt that she deserved to be heard by a wide audience. She has matured from a fine singer into an accomplished and always interesting one who chooses the finest in lyrics and melodies. She doesn't take the easy way, and she shines through. This CD, IF YOU COULD SEE US NOW, is complex and musically superior to anything I've heard in a long time. The more I listen, the more I hear.Anyone who has ever been a Nancy Marano fan and anyone who hasn't yet had the privilege, is in for a rare treat."

"IF YOU COULD SEE US NOW! is a wonderful musical marriage of an incredible singer and a brilliant arranger. All Nancy's previous CDs contain wonderful repertoire and this, her latest, is no exception. This is one super orchestra, a big sound, technically superior, but with plenty of heart. The more one listens, the more one hears - the arrangements are complex, but filled with warmth, wit, interest and the highest level of musicality. Nancy's voice is flexible enough to meet whatever challenge is offered by Manny Albam and the 60 pieces that are the full bodied sound of the Metropole Orchestra. The repertoire is sophisticated, yet accessible and all the performances are as heartfelt, credible and "as good as it gets!" IF YOU COULD SEE US NOW! as with all great works of art, will surely stand the test of time. Add this one to your collection and you will find yourself playing it for years to come!"

"I am a jazz radio producer and announcer and I have just previewed the new Nancy Marano cd with the Netherlands Metropole Orchestra. With Manny Albam arrangements Nancy delves into vocals that are not oversung. From Jimmy Rowles' THE PEACOCKS to the music of Duncan Lamont and his haunting melody "CAROUSEL". Strayhorn's "A FLOWER IS A LOVESOME THING" will tear at your heartstrings. From beginning to end this is the best vocal album release this year. It is not to be missed.
