Maybe it just seems as if the Nashville Bluegrass Band has more fun than most other bluegrass ensembles. No matter what they add to the repertoire, they always dig in with both feet. Here, they tackle everyone from Flatt and Scruggs, Ralph Stanley, and Vassar Clements to Gillian Welch, Kate Campbell, and Bob Dylan. As usual, Stuart Duncan's blues-drenched fiddle takes center stage along with the quintet's soulful vocal harmonies. "NBB has done it again, and this may be their most overall solid CD yet. From the opening cut of "Red Clay Halo" to the dying strains of "Just Like A Fiddler", these five musicians redefine the term "blend". Their choice of material and the understated perfection in which they present it will leave true bluegrass lovers shaking their heads in awe. This is a 5-star, skip-dinner-and-a-movie-if-you-have-to-to-save-the-money must for your CD collection."
