"With its strong vocals and intense storyline, backed with excellent studio players who give a crisp performance, "Shiver" is by far Natalie Imbruglia's most impressive single release of her career. Fans will see that the wait was indeed worthwhile.
The inclusion of the wistful album track "When You're Sleeping" is also a fine inclusion. "You make so much sense/When you're sleeping." Her low-key but fun cover of A Crowded House's "Pineapple Head," which will not be included on "Counting Down the Days," rounds out the disc.
NOTE: Other editions of this single contain the fascinating video for "Shiver," which was inspired by the film "The Bourne Identity," as an enhancement."
