Founded in 1998 from members of previous Washington DC and Baltimore bands, National Razor has been an ever-present staple in the region's scene. The band's sound is an uncontrived, surly blend of the Ramones, Stiff Little Fingers, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, and The Clash; a thinking man's punk band, their songs are awash in contradictions: abrasively melodic, visionary but destructive, callused yet vulnerable.
