"I completely agree with guillermoj. This is an awesome album. Like he says, every song has a hook that immediately gets stuck in your head. Generally speaking I stay away from pop rock, but after I first heard this album I had to have it. Yes, Nek reminds you of Sting, but he also reminds you of Bono and there are some excellent guitar riffs that are very U-2ish, not a bad thing in my book. El Ano Cero is a stand out album, mostly because Nek's delivery is varied and multifaceted. Every song rocks. Every song is superbly well mixed and well arranged. The sound is chrystal clear. It's just plain good music and an extremely well engineered product."
A must have for fans & a great introduction for future fans.

"This release starts off with a couple of new songs and works its way through 16 additional songs from Nek's 4 best-selling CDs. If you are familiar with Nek, I probably need not say another word as you'll find yourself buying this CD as a no-brainer. For those of you who have not heard of this singer, you are missing out big time. I discovered NEK via a the hypnotic "Laura No Esta" in a compilation CD and had to find out more about this passionate singer who I quickly came to learn was much more than a Sting-sound alike (which some dismiss him as) with lush choruses and impeccable musical arrangements. I bought his self-titled debut (which came out in late 1997/early 1998) and was amazed to discover that there not a dud in the bunch and his voice is really distinct, yet (if it makes any sense) very Sting-like in both his early and louder Police years and more subdued latter work. Like his contemporary Eros, Nek is an Italian who sings in his mother tongue as well as in Spanish. I would describe NEK as a maker of contemporary Latin pock/rock with an incredible ability to sing ballads that don't sound sappy. The release has a little of everything, yet is as cohesive as I've heard. Almost every song has a hook that stays with you. As I said in my review for Nek's self titled debut release, this guy is an original in an overcrowded field dominated by a lot of pretty boys with little time or chance for longevity, and although NEK certainly falls into that category looks-wise, it starts and ends with his voice, song delivery, and song-writing. I predict a long career if he chooses to continue to share his gift with the public. I hope that this greatest hits release is a huge success as I'd love to hear much more from NEK. Even if you have all his releases, which I do, this collection has a nice flow and unless you want to make your very own greatest hits collection, this purchase does the work for you and includes 2 new songs. As at least one of his other releases, this one EASILY earns its 5 stars."
Very Good

"I Came to know Nek when I heard the song Tan Solo Tu. A Duo with Laura Pasuini. On MTV Espanol on my cable box. After that I heard a alot of other nice songs and planed on buying that cd and others for other songs That I fell in love with. In the end it was going to be all He's cds. But My plans got changed when I also heard Al Menos Ahora and I fell in love with that song and found it was a new song and I planed to buy Lo Mejor De Nek. The second song is also new. El Ano Cero is a very nice song which I love very much and love to play guitar with that song. My faviote song is Si Se Que Tengo A Ti and I love to play guitar with that song also. I all Ready have Laura No Esta by Fernando Villalona in merengue but I love Nek's version also. To Tell you the truth I think I like it more than Fernando Villalona's version. If you do not know who Nek is you are missing out on a great singer. And I think that if you have none of He's cds you should buy he's greatest hits cd even if you are not into the Pop/Rock junk. Fanstic Cd. I give it 20 stars. Thank You"

"Awesome cd! And every song is different! My favs: Al Menos Ahora, En Ano Cero, Angeles del Ghetto, Dime Porque, Laura No Esta, Tu Nombre, Si Se Que Tengo a Ti, No Preguntas Porque (the ending of this one is really cool), Llegas Tu, Tan Solo Tu, La Vida Es and Cielo y Tierra. Wow, that's a lot of favorites! I guess I just like them all.
There isn't one song on here that's a disappointment--well, actually, tan solo tu was a disappointment for me. I LOVE this song--but only when Laura Pausini is singing it with him! I guess I should have looked more closely; I just assumed that she would be singing it with him in this CD, but that's only in Le Cose da Difendere. When he sings it by himself, it's just not the same. When I listen to it, I have to mentally fill in the parts where Laura echoes him. I don't know why he changed it; it's so much better with Laura. Oh well.
Other than that, AMAZING CD! Hope you enjoy it as much as I have!"

"I came to know the music of Nek when I traveled to Mexico one year and ever since then his music has stayed with me. As far as this album goes it brings out the best in his music.I guess that's why they call it Lo Mejor de Nek. Great Buy.Thats all I got to say."
