"Made in USA in 2000, Serial# PER-0052-2, Playing Time: 41 min. This is album #6 for the twins, who used to record under "NELSON", as opposed to "THE NELSONS". Even though their website lists this album as being released before "Life", it is not so. Their albums are often released in Japan long before here in America; such is the case with "Life", released in Japan back in August 1999.This latest offering represents a change in direction for the brothers, this time exploring country music. I'm not a fan of country music, but I must say the arrangements are well polished and the sound is very clean.Because this is the first review of this CD, here's the full track listing:1-"Try My Love" 2-"One Of The Things About You" 3-"Just Once More" 4-"She Loves Me" 5-"From The Word Go" 6-"With This Kiss" 7-"Goin' Goin' Gone" 8-"What's In A Name?" 9-"What About Me?" 10-"She's Way Too Cute For Him" 11-"Forever Isn't Long Enough For Me" 12-"You Call That A Mountain".There are 11 guest guitarists on the album (including 3 on slide guitar), and the performances are impeccable. Even though the melodies don't have the energy the band has sometimes demonstrated in the past, this CD blends nicely the 2 genres of rock and country.A departure from their normal style, but a musical adventure that brings us closer to their true inspiration, father Ricky Nelson.I found the CD enjoyable, but not for the "regular" NELSON fan."

"Nelson have come a long way since their double platinum debut. Their songwriting is so impressive on this disc and so current with the Country/Pop style that it's hard to believe they don't have any recent hits! Wake up Nashville! Every song offered here is just as good as anything Shania Twain or Garth Brooks has done. "She Loves Me" is a real stand-out, just great feel-good music. Another good album by Nelson is "Life", it's not quite as Country but you can see them starting in that direction as it came out right before this one. For those of you who haven't heard Nelson since "After the Rain", listen to the clips and check out their other releases. They are better than ever!"

"This album, a first country release, was pre-released before the more AOR album, Life by Gunnar and Matthew Nelson is a treasure for the music fan. It's got a heart of gold with songs like "Try My Love", "What's In A Name?" & "One Of The Things About You" to tap your toes to and "Just Once More" to bring tears to your eyes. For fun, "She's Way Too Cute For Him". And for love: "You Call That A Mountain".The harmonies of the brothers are incredible and it's no wonder they're showcased in both song and the album's title.I recommend this for anyone, be they "Nelson" fans, or Rick's. Country folks must give it a try too!"
