"Jasmine Records continue their series of Nelson Eddy reissues (The Stephen Foster Songbook: JASCD 421; and duets with Jeanette MacDonald: JASCD 143 and JASMCD 2558), with this compilation which totals 54 tracks and showcases his talent in a variety of styles, including oratorio, light classics, and stage and film songs. The second disc includes his 1951 recording of "Songs for Christmas" with Paul Weston. Other accompaniments are conducted by Robert Armbruster, Hugo Winterhalter, David Rose, and Leon Arnaud. Sound quality is first-rate, and this should appeal to all who appreciate traditional songs in first-class performances."

"What a treat this CD is! If you haven't heard Nelson Eddy sing before this, then you are in for treat. I own several Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy CDs but the majority are CDs that are Nelson alone. I love this CD because it has alot of favorites that I've heard Nelson sing before, and also some that I have never heard. You will find yourself listening to this CD over and over again. Christmas music in May? You bet! Nelson sings Christmas carols as they should be sung. Traditionally and beautifully."

"This CD is a wonderful showcase for Nelson Eddy`s artistry. The CD contains tracks recorded in the 1930`s, 40`s and 50`s. Several tracks have never before been released on CD.Music from several different genres are included. The tender pathos of "Just A Wearyin` For You" never fails to make me cry. "Rodger Young" is a beautiful tribute to all the brave men and women who have fought and died for their country throughout history. The sacred songs are sung with sincere faith, reverance and exaltation.
Special Thanks to Jasmine Records for this beautiful CD.

"Out of the Night double CD by Jasmine Records is a wonderful collection that features old standards as well as some "NEW" material. It shows Mr. Eddy's range in singing serious music like Berceuse from Jocelyn to the joyous Jingle Bells!; from the inspiring religious Holy Thou Art to the whimsical western Whoopee Ti Yi Yo. Romance is in the air when you listen to this collection of 54 tracks. New to many listeners will be the Bethany College Alma Mater and the song Close which was cut from the 1937 movie Rosalie. I confess to own many Nelson Eddy CD's, but this collection is truly my favorite. I am sure it will be yours too."
