A combination of Antologias I and II

"This Nelson Ned CD was released internationally as simply "Antologia." It is a combination of the previously released "Antologia I" (tracks 1 - 10) and "Antologia II" (tracks 11 - 20), and it is excellent. "Si las flores pudieran hablar" is the most romantic song from "Antologia I"; "Dejenme si estoy llorando" takes this honor from "Antologia II." Also from "Antologia II" Ned renders a convincing version of "El preso no. 9" (remember Joan Baez' "Prisoner #9?) and a passionate religious tribute, "La Biblia." Ned wrote most of the songs on the album, and all are in Spanish except for a few English lines in "Happy Birthday, My Darling." Legendary Mexican singer/songwriter Juan Gabriel authored two numbers on the album: "La diferencia" (from Antologia I) and "El dia que mi acaricies llorare" (from Antologia II). Ned writes a paragraph introducing each song (lyrics included) on an attractive insert. This is two albums in one, a real bargain that includes Ned's best."
