"Lanborn's vocals are amazing, Never the Bride just rocks... for a special treat check out Nikki and Cathy on the Encomium cd, a tribute to Led Zeppelin. They do a stunning version of "Going to California"... breathtaking !! I have had this cd for YEARS and still love it so much... wonder where they are now..."

"I beleive the Guitarist was a guitarist for Robert Plant's solo efforts. The vocals on this disc are just stunning. How they never made it huge I will never understand.. It is a shame how overlooked this band is. From top to bottom this is 1 of the finest cd's I have ever heard... I do hope to hear more music from them in the future.. What a great band.. Fabulous vocals, full of passion and emotion and fire..."
The lyrics are weak

"I first heard this band on a tribute album for Led Zepplin, Encomium; they did a version of "Going to California" that just buried the original. It's hard to believe and/or explain; but, Never the Bride made "Going to California" into an absolutely rocking/emotional song.
Now, here comes the CD I've heard so much about. I special ordered it because it's no longer in print. I was disappointed - plain and simple. Granted, the vocalist has an incredible voice, but the lyrics are quite weak. If I remember correctly, every song is a love song and, for the most part, quite one dimensional.
I wanted so much to love this CD, but there's nothing unique here. The singer's voice and style is quite reminiscent of Melissa Etheridge; that is a compliment.
This CD doesn't deserve to be out of print. I can think of countless others that should have never been printed. I can hear where this band had potential. It's just that the lyrics failed the band.
I will order their live CD when it comes out. I'm still curious."
The stars are for Nikki

"The reason Never The Bride never gets anywhere is the material. Everyone raves about the vocals. That's Nikki. That's Nikki they're raving about, not the band. The band is okay as far as they go. But it's the material, the songs, that keeps Nikki from where she deserves, on top of the world. Makes me crazy. Been watching her for years, waiting for the day she lets go of other people's hands and flys. The hand she's holding onto now and has been for so long keeps her tethered to the same old club circuit. Nikki. Let go. Fly. Sing about who you are. Stand up and tell us about Nikki in songs. No stopping you then."
