An Inspiring Album

(5 out of 5 stars)
"I have been a fan of Nevertheless, since 06. I saw them live and there are beautiful. I bought their 'In the Making' EP, and loved it... and decided to buy the whole album when it came out on Itunes.
I love the album! It is so inspiring; there are songs that hit home for poeple going through hard times, and difficult decisions. Every song is beautiful in its own right and each one has its own meaning and stand for something.
Rest (10/10)
Is my absolute favorite on the album. Its a slower, not so happy song. But hey, sometimes people need some music that isn't to dance to, its meant to speak to their soul. The singers voice is wonderful, set against lots of piano. It's a great song for anyone thinking they are alone in this world, and that god is there for you, when you think you have no one left that could love you.
Topics (10/10)
My 2nd Favorite track. Its about the little things we do in our daily lives that wish not to talk to much about. How we mask our pain with drugs, alcohol, sex, anything to fill that void in our lives. The song is about God being that void, and how he can save you from destructive and ugly things that plague our existence.
Cross My Heart (10/10)
Is a more upbeat song, compared to `Topics'. There's more guitar, and much more of a Alt/Rock vibe, (how much of Nevertheless's `Oh Child' was) The song is about standing for what you believe in. In comparison to going with the flow of everyone else.
I Needed This (8/10)
Not a standout on the album, but still has a good melody and easy to listen to. But still some great guitar melody, and the lead singers voice is amazing to listen too.
Augustine (9/10)
Is an Acoustic song, it's a very simple song of a girl.... Of course. The verse in this song is written beautifully, the song is simply about how far you would fall to save the person you love. And how rare true love is.
Its True (8/10)
Again not a standout, but still a good song. The melody is a bit strange but it works out.
Its not Secret (9/10)
Another Acoustic song, very simple. But still very catchy. The song has a great message about needing god in your life.
When Im Alone (10/10)
This song is Piano driven, like Topics. I gave it a 10, because the lyrics are fantastic, about finding yourself, and how you can put up a wall... but who are you when you are simply alone? Could you stand yourself.
Long Shot (9/10)
Is a great guitar driven song, It is much more `Poppy' then anything else on the album.
Sleeping In (10/10)
The single off the album, I heard this song way before it came out in physical form. The song is one of a kind, I have never heard a artist confront the issues of procrastination/ depression/ and pure laziness all in one song. The song is about people who basically sleep their life away, Not literally of coarse, but just people who don't contribute, believe in themselves and be everything they can truly be. And than god can help you wake up and can help you find your true self.
Found my way Back Again (10/10)
Another one of my favorites, its an acoustic song. I love it because it is the final song on the album and the last verse is "Let him in tonight". The song is about people letting god into their lives when they need him. When we all reach our rock bottoms, and we need someone to help us out he can. And even when we do get out of the dark places in our lives, we sometimes fall back in and forget that god can help us for good, and heal us. So we never reach that awful place some of us go when we are thoroughly fed up, or depressed or just going through allot.
