"This album is a lot earlier then the above writer mentioned. More like 1977. I grew up around this album's music. Cooked quite a lot of eight tracks with it. I still own some of the music on cassette tape from the original album, (which melted onto my turntable from so much use). If you love Classic Salsa, you can't do without Julio Castro, Ramon Rodriquez and their pre-Conjunto Classico sound that just sizzles on this album. Tito Nieves delivered the lungs on this project and we all know who he is now. Thanks to La Massacre for introducing Tito Nieves to the world of Salsa. This effort consist of outstanding musicianship, arrangements and tipico compositions that inspired a generation of later Salseros. You can almost taste Puerto Rican Sazon on this baby. Gotta love it! Que Viva...

"An early 80 clasic. El Conjunto "La Masacre" is among with "El Conjunto Clasico", the best caribbean Country Men Band. The lirics in this album are pure extract from the Typical and Traditional customs of the Puerto Rican People back in the 50, 60 and 70. The first cut on this hard to find and collector's Item was a Mega Hit in New York and Puerto Rico back 1985 or 86. Today a lot of people is looking for this album. I have a Vinyl, which I will never get rid of It. Great deal, and on top of that the singer is The Salsa Music Pavarotti, Tito Nieves."
