CD ReviewsWorth twenty times the price Darrell L. Lee | 03/30/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "SI*SE's "Slip Away" (song 3 on CD 1) is alone worth ten or more times the price of this set. When it seems every idea for a love song must have been used up, here's one that is brand new, exquisitely sung, richly arranged, and hauntingly beautiful in concept. If Projection's fabulous "Backbone" were not the very next song, I doubt I would ever have continued through the rest of the set. But the rewards keep coming...with known entities like Thievery Corp, Nuspirit Helsinki, and Kevin Yost, along with a dozen or more excellent discoveries. You will listen to this set again and again without tiring. And you will join me impatiently waiting for SI*SE to release her own album." I LOVE NEW YORK!!!!!!!!!!! Darrell L. Lee | Jackson, MS | 02/23/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "New York Lounge like the Paris Lounge series on the Wagram record label offers a "Day" and "Night" side. Although the "Day" side is full of songs you may have heard a million times already on other compilation CDs, it's the "Night" side disc that shines with some serious dance floor tracks from Metro Area, Kevin Yost, Derrick Carter and a host of virtual unknowns--at least to me, anyway. Ranging from jazz, hiphop, funk, soul and house, New York Lounge has something for everybody. If you half way dig the Paris Lounge series, I suggest you check this one out!"
