"The toughest part of reviewing this particular CD, was trying to figure out how many stars to award it. For starters, it's a bit out-of-date, as one could imagine with track #9 (The Andy Cole song), plus being released in 1995, there's no mention of Alan Shearer (who was with Blackburn Rovers at the time). But with that aside, this CD gets 4 stars for anyone of the Toon Army (i.e. a fan of Newcastle United), except for maybe those already living in England (who know the songs by heart). The old songs of Magpies legend Kevin Keegan (and his short lived career as a pop singer of the 1970's) are interesting for a new listener, and let's not forget track #6 (Blaydon Races), which is Harry Palmer's version of Newcastle Utd's famous fight song. But only get this one if you're either a fan of Newcastle Utd. (a foregin fan, in particular), or if you know a fan to give it to. Not having much value as music, I could imagine a non-fan wouldn't like this one a whole lot, but since I'm one of the more recent fans of Newcastle United, I was amazed with how much I liked it, and have played it consistently since I first got it six months ago to the time I wrote this review."
