Product DescriptionWhen Nhojj's unadorned voice croons the introduction of "I've Been Waiting For You", the effect on the listener is immediate. We are drawn into a comfort zone, a sort of hypnotic state. Nhojj seems to be telling his listener, "Come into my world". Blessed with a four-octave range and superior breath control, his voice is particularly astonishing when he sings a capella: it's soothing and has an almost ethereal quality. He's written lyrics that vary between the stripped-down, back-to-nature range of human emotions to the more subtly intricate aspects of our feelings and loves-- often in the same track. And while his music is similarly pure (Nhojj uses minimal instrumentation, if any at all, in the background) there's a depth in his vox and in his melodies that's deceptively rich and complex, because it's so smoothly assemble and delivered. In between the songs, he incorporates poetry, as well as sensual musical interludes. Although most of the sounds on the CD convey a romantic, mellow mood, Nhojj shows a more relaxed vocal style and a more lively musical beat in a couple of the tracks on the CD. A recurrent theme is-- what else?-- love, love, love. But not just the joy and heartbreak about loving someone else. It's about loving yourself, through self-acceptance and self-discovery. -- Jed Ryan
