Orchestral Psyche-Folk Pop Masterpiece

"This long-lost orchestral psych-folk pop masterpiece is now remastered & back in print. Much sought after, it lives up to it's legend. The title track is a baroque & haunting opener to a world of bedsit musings, nocturnal wanderings & women who "don't go to church on sundays". Tracks like "Bungles Tours" & "Queen Of Queens" are chock full of silly Beatleseque charm, while love songs like "Deeper Tones Of Blue" capture unrequited love in all it's bittersweet glory. The generous liner notes will fill you in as to why this album has remained so obscure & mysterious but these are brilliantly structured songs, backed by strong production & a dizzying tapestry of instruments. And for those who yearn to hear a few of these cuts with just an acoustic guitar, the bonus tracks will make you appreciate Nick Garrie's craft all the more. A must for fans of Nick Drake, Scott Walker, Bill Fay & the late Elliott Smith."
