CD ReviewsA Great Pop Album Fernando Silva | Santiago de Chile. | 08/28/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "Nicole has been always my favorite Chilean singer, and I like all of her albums, but this, her first "adult" album (she'd been a success as a girl) is the one I play more often in my car & home. At least four songs from this Album, became successful singles in Chile, a pair were featured in TV Chilean soap operas, in fact one of them was the title song of "Amor a Domicilio" (difficult to translate, but it means sth. like "Love to Order" or "Love to your Door"), a very rhythmic & contagious fast pop song. The album's first single was a Cover of a popular song by Argentine singer Andrés Calamaro, "Sin Gamulán " "Without Gamulan" (Gamulan is a type of "sporty-casual" Napa Jacket), very good. The second single was (one of my fave) "Esperando Nada" ("Waiting for Nothing"), the Title song, a great mid-tempo, catchy song. The following singles were "Dame Luz" ("Give me Light"), title song of the aforementioned TV Soap Opera and "Extraño Ser" ("Strange Being"), wonderful! Then, "Sólo el Mar" (Only the Sea) was featured in another TV Soap Opera and was a well-known song. But my real, real favorites songs from this great Pop Album by the very talented Nicole (née Denise Laval Soza), are three wondrous beautiful mid-tempo ballads, written by the Chilean composer Claudio Quiñones: "Mundo Perdido" ("Lost World"), "Territorios" ("Territories") and "Sigo Buscándote" ("I Go On Searching You"). This album is a MUST for Pop Lovers. It was released in Chile back in 1994, and 10 years after, I feel (IMHO) it's a "classic" and sort of "timeless". As a Chilean I'm very proud of Nicole & her achievements. " Female Vocalist Pop/Rock in Spanish at its Finest Alan Paul Hale | Houston, TX USA | 03/08/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is one of the best pop/rock albums I have ever heard in 50 years of listening to rock music, from Elvis to the Beatles to Pink Floyd and Jethro Tull and Marillion and Soda Stereo and Shakira. My Chilean friends were playing this and I immediately liked it tremendously. This beautiful lady has a great voice, a great band playing on these songs, and there is a lot of originality here, good melodies, good mixing, great guitar work, great drums, great variety. This CD is impossible to find nowadays but well worth the search if you can find it. I would like to see it re-released!! Madonna signed this lady in the early 2000's. All her records are fine, but this one is my favorite. Nicole! Madonna! Does anybody have a spare copy of the original? I have all your CD's except this one!! Peace&Love to you and your musician friends and your music from Al in Houston. These songs have given me great joy and enjoyment for the past decade and I recommend it to anyone who likes good music. It's like flying with the angels!"
