"Although the title of this album translates to 30 years of passion, these recordings were all made between 1967 and 1976 except the final track, which is from 1983. So the title may be misleading, but the brilliance is all there.I don't know any French, but with a singer this good, it really doesn't matter. Nicoletta has a beautiful, clear voice that is well suited to the ballads, but she can also pick up the tempo to good effect when required.Many of the songs here are of French origin, including two that Nicoletta co-wrote. However, there are a few covers including Angelica, I put a spell on you, Whiter shade of pale, Fly me to the moon, I can't give you anything but my love and Battle hymn of the republic. I confess that I've never figured out what Whiter shade of pale was actually about anyway so the language it is sung in is irrelevant.If you are interested in French pop music of the late sixties and early seventies, Nicoletta is well worth listening to."

"This compilation covers highlights from the Diva's 30 year career. Mamy Blue, Broadway, Glory Alleluia still sound wonderful so many years after their release.
A great album to have in your collection from a great French Diva."
