Nigel Lewis, singer, songwriter and producer, was born in the island of Tobago. His musical roots came from his father who was a jazz bassist and his mother who was an international dancer. Since the tender age of seven, Nigel sought refuge from hardships by imposing his self-made security blanket called music where he draws from his personal triumphs. His main source of inspiration comes from his relationship with God as a musician, we have access to millions of ears and that is something he never takes for granted. Musicians have the power to inspire and inform the people. Nigel loves to interact with people, which is why his songs are known as call and response music. These types of songs require the audience to take part in the songs and enjoy the songs.



Nigel became a household name when he swept the Caribbean scene with his first hit Movin in 1996. He achieved the highest musical honor in Trinidad and Tobago by becoming that year s Road March King for the most played song on the toad for Carnival. The following year, Nigel s mega hit Follow The Leader planted a seed that is still growing in 2009 with over 500,00 copies sold. With no formal education in music, Nigel taught himself how to play six instruments, which is useful when doing studio production or leading his band. While his dynamic live performances have captivated audiences worldwide, his music gives listeners food for the soul. Nigel has always been willing to be the voice of the people. By the time Nigel was fourteen, he had written and sung a song for the prime minister of his country, addressing the poor living conditions in his hometown of Toco saw improvements. Today, Nigel is still bustling with energy as a strong performer. He continues to travel across the world with his band Sound Mind entertaining the people and leaving a symbol of excellence wherever he goes. Nigel s seventh and eighth albums showcase his talent as a singer, songwriter and producer. In 2008, Nigel has received eight nominations for his album Unlock The Block from the Marlin Awards (Caribbean version of the Stella Awards) held in March 2008 which he won 2 awards.

The featured single Jesus Team was written by Edghill Thomas and produced and arranged by Nigel Lewis & Stephanie Murphy. Special appearances on additional tracks include Never Stop with 2nd Chance.
