"I'm surprised to find so many negative reviews of Night in Gales, particularly at this stage of their career. Of the three Night in Gales albums I've heard - Towards the Twilight, Thunderbeast, and Nailwork - Towards the Twilight is by far my favorite. It is a straightforward, At the Gates-style melodic death metal album that should please fans of Hypocrisy and early In Flames. And how could they possibly get boring? The album is only 37 minutes long, and the band barely relaxes their furious death metal assault long enough for you to catch a breath!
They may not have been the most original band around, but they play this kind of metal quite well. Besides, adding another old school melodic death metal album to my collection is never a bad thing!
