"Well I can't believe this has no reviews? Way way better than Carboot Soul, I have had this album for at least 10 years, it never dates, it's one of my all-time favorite trip-hop chillout albums, just buy it..."

"I would imagine that most fans of trip-hop and chillout music are familiar with the Nightmares collection and would most likely list songs from these volumes in their list of favorites. It's an influential series with depth and variety that should be strongly considered by the genre's enthusiasts, old and new.
To me, Smoker's Delight remains the apex effort of the expansive, deeply rewarding collective now totaling, I believe, eight albums. (No small task.) In all honesty, I imagine my unyielding faith in Smoker's has something to do with it being one of the first trip-hop albums I bought; nostalgia's grip, but mostly I think I'm attracted to the style it initiated for the Nightmare's series. Musicians with instruments are involved, here. I don't mean to take away from the button pushers, they have their place, I'm just more impressed when people throw real notes in the production. Robin Taylor-Firt kills it on keyboards. He would be to Nightmares what Money Mark is to the Beastie Boys. I appreciate the sounds.
In essence, (if I've been verbose), Smoker's Delight is best described as a breathe-easy collection of tracks designed to loosen you up. I found this attempt an absolute success and highly recommend adding it to your library.

Amazing Sophmore Effort... a MUST Own!

"To call DJ Ease (George Evelyn) a genius is an understatement. Smokers Delight opens with subtle strings and a downbeat and never lets you go. One of the ultimate examples of mid-ninety's soul infused trip-hop this album sets the mood for a low key good time. As one of the earliest releases on the WARP label this masterpiece set the tone for decades to come. Smokers Delight is not only a testament to DJ Ease's taste in music it reveals what happens when well honed production skills are intertwined with refined taste. On par with DJ Shadow's earliest sonic experimentation Nightmares on Wax has remained in relative obscurity in comparison. If you're in the mood for some great low-key head-nodding jazzy beats this is a definite addition to your music collection. It's mellow out vibe certainly stands the test of time!"
