Took me a while, but...

"I only had "Oceanborn" previous to getting this. With only that one cd, I immediately became addicted to this band, which I consider to be one of the best of the last 10 years. But, after having every little detail of "Oceanborn" firmly ingrained in my mind and loving it with all my heart, when I first started listening to "Century Child" it didn't really send me into ecstasy as the other one did upon first listen. But after a couple of listens, I can honestly say that it is a marvelous album, another timeless classic. It is different, but that is a plus, not a bad thing at all. They are incorporating a new bass player/singer, which at first I resented. But his vocal parts are not too many, and I think he does add a new dimension to Nightwish. The band is also incorporating more vocal layering, at times sounding like an orchestral choir, which sounds amazingly majestic with the powerful musical backdrop. All in all, a very emotional and powerful album. Get it."
Amazing band from Finland

"Hearts will be broken; men will lose their minds... so, beware when you listen to this band, fronted by the marvellous female singer Tarja Tarunen. Altugh the band leader is keyboard player Tuomas, she is the high point here.
CENTURY CHILD is their new album. IT has more of the same old stuff: catchy and at the same time complex melodies, amazing vocals by Tarja, a feeeling of greatness all around. The baass player is new also, a guy called Marco. I hope they release it in the U.S."
