Nik Freitas has been a member of Conor Oberst's Mystic Valley Band and part of Broken Bells' touring ensemble, but now he has crafted his an album of all his own work, Saturday Night Underwater. And when we say, ''crafted an album of all his own work,'' we mean he wrote, produced and performed the record all on himself'and it's quite fine. The title track is a rhodes'y lowkey piece with sweet guitar strums and clear nods to his influences from the '70s. For more, the album drops June 7 on Little Record Company. He'll be on the road with The Submarines starting tonight in Costa Mesa before joining An Horse in New York on April 26.
