CD ReviewsAn Excellent Introduction To Nile Joel Israel | Cedar City, UT United States | 08/20/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "Ancient Egypt-themed band Nile are widely regarded as one of the most influential and most original death metal bands in decades, and this new "greatest hits" compilation of choice songs from several of their best albums helps to show why. A very good way to introduce yourself to the band, this CD/DVD set contains some of the best fan favorites from their last four albums on the excellent Relapse Records label, and is well packaged to boot. The DVD would have been much better if it were live material (it consists of three "so-so" low-budget videos from the band), but this great package is worth it for the CD alone. Highly recommended for people new to the band, as well as longtime fans (like myself) who just want a good, more "portable" selection of songs from the various Nile albums. "Consume the bodies of the damned in the flames of liquid fire..." Indeed." Best of cd. C. Chua | Singapore | 01/12/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "Buy this if you're into Death Metal. Its basically a best of cd from one of the frontrunners of the genre. Fans of Nile should have this as part of a collection and also a quick best of so that you don't have to search for the different albums. For those who are not into Nile, buy this for a quick introduction, then buy the albums."
