I just bought this CD here. I bought the album the day it came out back in 1983? The thing with this album is that it is a three piece powerhouse. Andy Newmark on Drums, Kevin McCormick on Bass, Nils on Guitars/Vocals. Yeah an overdub here or there but, really a natural rawness for the time which it's recorded. Nils' guitar playing is some of my favorite from his entire recorded history. Not long after this he became an E Streeter. Where he touched the Springsteen sound LIVE with a style and class that only Nils could bring to the table. The perfect foil for that band. Across the Tracks is an unrealised or at least underpromoted hit single. This is Nils Lofgren in full maturity. It is my favorite Nils studio album after Cry Tough. It is a great, great, great addition to any collection." Finally Available!
