"By far one of the greatest albums ever made, its sad that Nina only gets credit for her old work and not for the great albums released after 1985. Einfach Nina is a great "tune-in", all the songs om this album is great, except perhaps Kunst which I find a bit boring (its better as Art on BeeHappy), Stacheldraht makes U happy, wonderful voice on the opera-like Geburt and lovingly pissed off in Lass mich in ruhe! Buy this."
RETURN TO THE PUNK ROCK AGE

"This 1995 release is a tough little CD much like what NinaHagen sounded like in the early 80's. The PUNK sound is back and herwork is all the better for it. Those of us who remember NUNSEXMONKROCK and the self titled NINA HAGEN BAND will appreciate her going back to that rough and tough sound we loved so much! As soon as you stick FREUD EUCH in your CD player Nina will literally blow you away with the first track "(Another junkie), Einfach Nina", with references to those undesirable and contemptible things in life like the neonazi and the yuppie. The second track "LASS MICH IN RUHE!" has even more hard-core guitar and drum work. The third track "STACHELDRAHT" is more textural and danceable like the work she had in "FEARLESS" and "NINA HAGEN IN EKSTASY". Here she proves she is still the definitive "Mother of PUNK" ...and like she so eloquently put it a few years ago "...So what the FUNK!" The seventh track "GEBURT" is almost eerie. Her operatic vocals in this track are reminiscent of "AUF'M BANHOFF ZOO" and "AUF'M RUMMEL." The eighth track "SONNTAGMORGREN" shows she can still poke fun at herself by getting silly and lollipoppish. My first Nina Hagen album was NUNSEXMONROCK and I remember on the cover there was a sticker that read "Nina Hagen is not for weak stomachs or hearts". After listening to her that day I understood what that statement meant. With FREUD EUCH she reiterates it one more time. She's not out to get her name on the top 40 list. She has never felt like she is in some kind of popularity contest. She knows who her audience is...and that's enough. Nina is for those who refuse to conform and follow."
