Disc one comprises the acclaimed recordings Nina made for New York's Bethleham label in the late 50's and includes the hits 'I Love You Porgy' and 'My Baby Just Cares For Me'. In contrast, disc two presents Simone recorded in a concert setting in the early seventies, by which time she had fully developed her unique style. Here are excellent performances of some of her most popular songs from her recording career, including 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood', 'Young, Gifted And Black' and 'Ain't Got No (I Got Life)' from the musical Hair.
