""Hit Man Dreams" is the second album from SD's No Knife. Their first one, "Drunk On The Moon" was a decent start, but the current record is incredible. Mitch Wilson is a great singer/songwriter and the band's chemistry couldn't be better. NK's scrappy emo-punk is sure to please any fan of Jimmy Eat World, Triplefastaction, Stanford Prison Experiment, Furious IV or similar bands. Best tracks? "Your Albatross", "Jackboots" and "Sweep Away My Shadow"."

Bridging the gap between Punk Rock and Emo

"This is an excellent album released by one of the most under-rated bands in the indie rock scene today. Hit Man Dreams is chalked full of punchy, melodic, minor-key guitar riffs and complex yet incredibly catchy arrangements. The guitarwork is as melodic as Jimmy Eat World, yet as agressive as At The Drive In. Vocalist Mitch Wilson has a high/melodic voice comparable to Chris Carrabas' of Dashboard Confessional and it complements No Knife's driving guitar sound perfectly. While this could arguably be their best of 4 albums, I highly reccommend seeing No Knife live in order to truly appreciate their tight arrangements and amazing guitarwork. This album however, bridges the gap between punk rock and emo quite nicely."

"I have seen No Knife in concert twice, both by accident, but I'm still thanking God for the coincidence. Every song of theirs is well thought out and planned and the musicianship is really mezmorizing. I listen to this album at least once every two days and I've been doing this since I got it two months ago. No bands have ever been in my listening cycle this much. I'm too impressed with No Knife. I can't wait till they come back to Chicago. I won't be seeing them by accident next time."
