"Noel's Song..."

"is very much missed. Noel's music got me through college, when I needed to just relax. One of the finest jazz violinist to pick the instrument up, this is one of his best. Noel made the violin sing and whether the melody was fast or slow, it was beautiful. "Look of Love" is seductive, "Never Lose Your Heart" is inspiring and "Make it Real" just sings with the beauty of his artistry. Noel had a warm vocal style and combined with his ability to make the violin sing, he presented his fans with a musical legacy we won't soon forget. I miss him much, but I am grateful for the music he has left us."

"I too heard a few years back he had died and cried(also along with George Howard, Art Porter and recently Grover Washington)so do not feel ashamed. These smooth jazz players will definately be missed. There music will ring forever. I am glad Iseen them in concert before passing. Anyway, This album I love. It sends you on a journey from church to an exotic island. That is a lot of ground. It too helped me out in sad times. He is the only artist I knew who can play a Zeta violin so swiftly."
Solid Fusion Jazz Violin

"I've been listening to Noel Pointer since "Hold On" in 1976. He was definitely one of the most gifted of the jazz violinists and this is a solid album. It has some great funky driving music and some tender ballads. Pointer's violin was such a different sound - it has such a sinewy flavor yet flows in long, fluid lines unlike other string instruments such as guitar. This is definitely a worthwhile album! The news of his passing was sad indeed."
