"I fell in love with Noel Pointer's haunting music in the 70s through my brother's love for jazz. Noel Pointer was definitely one of the best that the Jazz-Fusion Era offered. I'll never forget the night I met Mr. Pointer backstage at the Circle Star Theater in San Carlos, CA (circa 1982). He was playing there with Hiroshima and Phyllis Hyman. What a huge lose to the jazz community. My favorite song will always be "Night Song"."

"I saw Noel Pointer on stage about 20 years ago. What a talent! The cut Night Song blew me away then...it still does."

"My mother owns this album on vinyl. The first time I listened to this, I was in love. I was 10 years old. I have only met one person who knew who he was. This internet thing is amazing. I am so glad that there are other people that can hear his amazing music as well as I can.... His music is alive! I can feel it in the marrow of my bones. I'm glad I am not alone in this feeling."
One of the best jazz fusion recordings featuring the violin.

"This recording released in 1977 helped paved the way for the acceptance of the violin as a jazz instrument. Night Noise is an extremely haunting selection which takes the mind on an endless journey. Contrary to public belief Noel Pointer released at least five recordings. They just never matched his first offering. He was also a very gifted singer like his mother who was an opera singer."
