"Evidently, this EP consists of songs that were left off of Coaster, NOFX's brilliant full length album released earlier this year. But these songs are all great -- this doesn't feel like a leftover offering. In particular, "Fermented and Flailing" is one of the most awesome-est songs to come out of the melodic hardcore mode that NOFX has developed on recent albums.
Lyrically, the usual NOFX themes are present here -- drugs, the decline of western civilization, Fat Mike's childhood, drugs. Fat Mike has become an excellent lyricist (simultaneously poignant and hilarious) and these songs further showcase his songwriting brilliance.
The final song on the disc, an acoustic version of Coaster's "My Orphan Year", would perhaps be a throwaway tune if it weren't punctuated with some acoustic fret-rattle-buzz that gives the heartfelt tune an additional weight of melancholy. Never thought a NOFX tune would bring a tear to my eye."

"Yet another great release from veteran punkers NOFX. This CD consists of tracks leftover from the 'Coaster' sessions. Previously unreleased tracks "Cokie the Clown" & "Fermented and Flailing" make this EP definitely worth the purchase price... Not to mention the cool cover art that has Fat Mike dressed as Cokie the Clown.
Track breakdown...
1) Cokie the Clown 5/5 - After you get past the circus music intro this is a really great song and would have been a standout track on 'Coaster' had they chose to include it.
2) Straight Outta Massachusetts 3/5 - Funny, Catchy song. Not a standout track but a good addition to the EP.
3) Fermented and Flailing - 4/5 - Really cool song.
4) Co-Dependence Day - 4.5/5 - Good song. Previously released on the Warped Tour 2009 Compilation.
5) My Orphan Year - 5/5 - Acoustic version of one of my favorite songs off the 'Coaster' cd, was offered as a free download on Myspace for the NOFX "Myspace Transmissions". Great version, really works acoustically.
**Note** this was also released on Vinyl as two separate EP's consisting of the same 5 songs but in a different order.
