"NMB has been around long enough that they should be able to stand on their own merits, (after all, Kid Dynamite only had two proper full lengths to their name) but considering the magnitude of Jason's past band, it's impossible to review this CD without making a comparison. If you liked the more melodic side of KD (Never Met the Gooch, S.O.S.) you will most likely enjoy this. It has sing along choruses, whoas, and even hand claps. If you were more into the harder KD songs, (News at 11, Pits and Poisoned Apples) you will probably be more interested in KD guitarist Dan Yemin's new band, Paint it Black. In either case, this is a solid release, even considering the reputation of that "other" band."

"I anticipated the release of this CD for the longest time, and it's everything I expected, and even things that I never expected showed up. The song titles are some of the coolest, funniest and strangest I've ever seen, and the lyrics really surprised me...I wasn't expecting such well-thought out lyrics. I mean, when you have songs called "Never Heard of Courduroy" and "Ice Cream With the Enemy"...I couldn't help thinking the lyrics would be different. But I actually like that NMB has serious lyrics instead of funny ones, it's a hell of a lot more interesting.Second thing, if you are expecting another Kid Dynamite...think again. And if you don't know who Kid Dynamite is...then you should just not even listen to this album, punk rock, or hardcore music...at all. NMB's sound perfectly matches Jason's vocals on every single track. And the sound itself is just amazing. The incredible guitars, bass riffs, and drumming all add up to one of the catchiest, coolest, and rockin' albums I've heard in a long time. I've probably listened to File Under Black about 15 times straight through since I bought it on June 3rd. All I can say is that it's about time a band put out an album that makes you not only feel like you could mosh, but make you WANT to mosh. This is one of the best punk releases the year will see, make no mistake. It's brilliant."

"If you loved Kid Dynamite, you know their music was only half of the story. Jay's lyrics were amazing and always made a personal impression on those were thoughtfull enough to listen to them. This CD picks right up where Kid Dynamite left off, not venturing too far off musicaly, but enough to know that this isn't the same band. With members of Kill Your Idols involved, you had to expect something great, and this certainly didn't disapoint. Bringing together their history of great music (and don't forget, before Kid D, Jay was in the AMAZING hardcore band Bound), None More Black looks to be another great one. And c'mon, they have the best name ever."
