Extraordinary

"Norbert Kraft is one of the most fluent, expressive guitarists around and his wife, Bonnie Silver, is an equally gifted pianist/harpsichordist. On this collection of familiar and not so familiar concerti, Silver performs the orchestral parts on the harpsichord with such verve that you almost forget that you are not listening to a whole ensemble. Plus the combination of harpsichord and guitar is a valid and enticing sound. Kraft performance is more than first rate. This is an unusual and moving disk."

"This is a lovely recording. I bought it on tape when it first came out and it's still one of my favourites; I've listened to it hundreds of times and it never fails to cheer me up when I'm feeling a little blue, or calm me when I'm feeling stresed. The combination of the guitar and the harpsichord sound is magical. Norbert Kraft and Bonnie Silver are a husband and wife team, I think. Musically, they've certainly click! Check out the Kraft/Silver partnership on Naxos too."
