"If you are unfamiliar with (or unaware of) Norma Waterson you might like to start here. Having a couple of cover versions and making them sound better than the originals (yes, even surpassing Freddie Mercury on "Love of my Life") helps. Hinting at her full blown potential with songs that have been part of the soundtrack of your life ("Dreaming" by Loudon Wainwright III, for instance) or might have ("Change Partners and Dance never had a more intense rendition) or maybe has (both the "Over The Rainbow" cover that in most voices with be sacrilege but here that is not the case and in the "Bluebird" hommage).
Whichever way you listen to this it will bring you pleasure and a refreshingly straightforward approach to songs often over-covered. Here they are simply spellbinding and it's all in the voice."
